On June 14, 2017, Hector Quinones became the first-ever Midway Baseball player to be selected in the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft when he was taken by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2017 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
Quinones played a pivitol part in his only season with the Eagles. The Barceloneta, Puerto Rico native was named First Team All-River States Conference, while helping lead the Eagles to the River States Conference Baseball Tournament Championship in 2017.
Quinones also threw the first-ever no-hitter in the history of the Midway Baseball program on March 18, 2017 when he tossed seven hitless innings against Ohio Christian University.
Jake McCoy - RHP

In June 2017, Jake McCoy became the second Midway Baseball player to sign a professional contract when he inked a deal with the Evansville Otters located in Evansville, Indiana.
McCoy sported the Blue and Yellow in his only season with Midway in 2017. He helped lead Midway to the River States Conference Baseball Tournament Championship in 2017. He also was named First Team All-River States Conference.
The closer from Mesa, Arizona appearned in 20 games for Midway and tossed a total of 23.1 innings pitched. He tallied a 2-1 record with a 1.16 earned run average, while leaving Midway as the career leader in saves with eight. McCoy fanned 48 of the 97 batters he faced and allowed just a .180 batting average against. He struckout 2.07 batters per inning and finished with 18.7 strikouts per nine innings.
