Jennifer Sullivan is a veteran of Midway's Hunt Seat Team, having led its student-athletes to multiple championships during her tenure as head coach from 2006-10. Sullivan has over 25 years of experience in the horse industry. A native of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Sullivan has also ridden throughout the country from Florida to New York, competing on the HITS circuit.She started off her collegiate career riding at the University of Connecticut, riding for the Huskies in the Open division. She then transferred to Oklahoma State, where she competed for the Cowboys in the Open division and was also a member of the 2000 NCAA Championship Team. She received her B.A. in Psychology in 2002.
Sullivan had the opportunity to work with the Dallas Cowboys in Player Development during the 2002 season, working with the team's Sport Psychologist and alongisde the rookies and injured reserve players. She returned to her alma mater briefly and completed an internship as an assistant coach before accepting the Hunt Seat coaching position at Midway in 2006.
Sullivan is currently pursuing her M.A. in Sport Counseling and is an advocate for Sport Psychology advantages it gives athletes in increasing their performance.
Aside from spending time with family, Sullivan enjoys football and watching Rocky I-IV marathons. Coach Sullivan is married to Barry, who played soccer at Georgetown College. They have two children, four-year-old Elena and two-year-old Jon "Duke" Wayne.
